Samantha Nianqi Forkin is a multidisciplinary artist currently living in California where she received her BA in Studio Art from Fresno State University. Her current pursuits involve further growing her personal artwork and art business. Being alone gives me time to recharge, reflect, and cherish everything I’ve gotten to experience. So it’s a look into my room which feels like an anchor I can return to. It’s become less about the actual physical space and instead a feeling I take with me. Inspired by traditional Hanfu and the act of wearing it in modern day. I think one of the reasons art is so important to me is that it allows me to learn new things about the world and myself.
